About

Experience. Empathy. Diligence.

History

After graduating in three years from Transylvania University with a double major in music and political science, Ms. Staton began law school at the University of Louisville’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in the fall of 1978. However, after being awarded a fellowship from the Rotary Foundation for a free year of study in Australia at the University of Melbourne for the 1980 calendar year, Ms. Staton took a break from law school to capitalize on the opportunity. While living in Australia, Ms. Staton earned a Master’s Degree in Criminology and, as part of the fellowship, gave talks to 48 Rotary clubs across Australia regarding Kentucky’s history and natural beauty. Upon her return to the Commonwealth, Ms. Staton completed law school at Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. chase College of Law in 1983.

After nearly ten years as a legal practitioner, Ms. Staton opened her current private practice, where she has proudly served her fellow Kentuckians for nearly thirty years.
